About Fiber-Seal

Our History

In 1971, consumers were just beginning to embrace the concept of fabric protection. They loved the idea that a product could be applied to their fabrics, carpeting and rugs that would repel liquids and keep fibers cleaner longer – without changing the color or texture!

Then our founder Steve Nelson took one giant step beyond fabric treatment – he added local service offices as a more convenient way to get those great stain resistant products into clients’ homes. In addition, having a local service office assured that for more difficult problems or spotting emergencies, help was just a phone call away. In an unprecedented industry move, he promised those service calls at "NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE" and that concept remains even now as part of our service commitment!

The Value of the Fiber-Seal Network

Today, we have 50 offices nationwide, committed to the concept of combining eco-responsible fabric protection products with first-class service so our clients can enjoy their beautiful homes and offices without worrying about pets, careless kids, boardroom luncheons or messy patients.

Each office is locally owned, employing consultants and technicians who are your neighbors and friends. Being part of the Fiber-Seal network allows us to share research, upholstery and carpet cleaning expertise, information about the newest fabrics and carpeting, and other knowledge that benefits our clients every day in every service we provide.

Working with Others to Assure Quality Standards

Good companies are known by the company they keep and we take pride in the fact they we are part of the The Woolsafe Organization, an international body which tests cleaning and fabric treatment products. We submit our products each year for approval and they attest that our Fiber-Seal products are safe and effective.

Since 1971, Fiber-Seal has been a national Industry Partner with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Through our local office networks, we are also involved with Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)Association of Legal Administrators (ALA)International Facility Managers Association (IFMA)International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA)International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and other regional design organizations.
