Sustainability
Sustainability in fabrics is increasing in popularity each year, and we hope to see this trend continue! Sustainable fabrics are those derived from eco-responsible resources. Some examples would include natural materials such as linen, wool and organic cotton. As the industry evolves, we see new sustainability trends including recycled materials and even vegan leather, which is made out of plants! When looking at sustainable fabrics to put in your home, keep in mind that another part of sustainability is making sure they are built to last. Fiber-Seal protection is a great option to increase the longevity of your sustainable furnishings.
Deep Jewel Tones
Jewel tones are hot this year! Adding a beautiful, rich deep color to your space acts as the cherry on top of a beautiful design. A jewel tone is any color that imitates a gemstone. Gorgeous ruby red, sapphire blue, emerald green and amethyst purple are some examples. Since these colors are so powerful, you will want to use them sparingly as accents within your design. Here are some examples of how you can incorporate jewel tones into any space:
Jewel tone accent pillows on a sofa
Paint one piece of furniture per room in a jewel tone
Jewel tone curtains
One or two jewel tone chairs in a living room
Jewel tone chairs around a neutral dining room table

Leather
There’s no surprise here as leather has risen in popularity over the past few years. Leather is extremely durable and can last a very long time when cared for properly, along with being comfortable and stylish. Whether it be an entire living room or just a few pieces here and there, you can’t go wrong with leather furnishings. If you are unaware the proper way to care for a beautiful leather interior, call your local Fiber-Seal Service Center for assistance.
Textured Fabric
Adding textured fabrics to a design helps create a sense of depth within the room. Examples of textured fabric include boucle, glossy fabrics, woven materials and tufted upholstery. Textures are a large part of creating an atmosphere in a room. For example, if boucle Is used within a design, the space will feel warm and comforting. On the other hand, using silk will make the space feel sophisticated and chic. Mixing different textures is key to a charming, inviting space.

Natural Hues
Calming, natural hues bring an alluring, earthy feel to any space. The whole idea behind natural hues is bringing the colors from nature right into your design. One of the reasons that natural hues are so popular is because they are like a background for designers, and can be built upon to give the room a more interesting look. Natural hues go great in any room with different varieties of textures and accents! We’re happy to see this trend continue into 2023; we clean and protect a lot of light colored and neutral furnishings!
Bright and Bold Fabrics
Anyone who loves to make a statement will appreciate that bright and bold fabrics are in for 2023! Layering different colors and patterns adds depth to a room. The key to layering different bold patterns is dependent on the color scheme and size of the patterns. Pairing larger patterns with smaller ones make a room flow. Pairing bright and bold patterns can bring a “wow” factor to any room, but there are a few guidelines you may want to follow.
